How to Calibrate the Korad KA3305P/D Using a Electronic Load -KEL103

0Shares

Calibration instrument: The KEL103 DC electronic load.

Connect the positive and negative leads from the power supply to the KEL103 respectively. The leads connections will alternate dependent on the output that is being calibrated.

Calibration condition: Turn Korad Power Supply on and leave running for 2 minutes.

Entering zero-calibration mode:

  1. Press and hold M5 for 5 to 10 seconds after completing the calibration condition and all the values on the display should turn to 0.
  2. The voltage value for CH1 will begin to blink.
  3. With these conditions met the machine is now in zero calibration mode.

While CH1 is blinking it means CH1 is the value being calibrated, to calibrate CH2, press the button “CH2”. The following procedures are for calibrating (they pertain to CH1 for now but can be applied to CH2).

Voltage Zero Calibration: Connect the positive pole and negative pole of the leads into the output terminals of CH1 respectively. Then watch the electronic load and adjust the knob to make the electronic load in the range of 0V-5mV. Press M1 to save the calibration value. After that the zero calibration is over.

Current Zero Calibration: Press the current button (A), and then the current value on the display should blink. Connect ampere-meter to rotate the current button (A) to adjust the current value in the range 0mA-2mA. Press M1 to save the calibration value.

Entering max value mode:

  1. Press the M4 button to exit zero calibration and enter max value mode.
  2. The voltage displays 30V or so and the CH1 display blinks.

Max Value Voltage Calibration: Connect the electronic load and watch the display. Rotate the voltage knob (V) to adjust the power supply between 30.00V-30.02V, and press the M1 button to save the value.

Max Value Current Calibration: Press the current knob (A) and then the current value display will show. Set the current value on the electronic load to 5.5A. On the power supply, rotate the current knob (A) until the value on the display is 5A±5mA (KA3305D/P) or 3A±5mA (KA3303D/P). Then press M1 to save the value.

Turn the power supply unit off then back on to reset the unit.

Now you're all set to use your Korad Triple Power Supply!
